Course Overview

What this course is

Almost everyone can prompt an AI model. Very few can make it do a defined job reliably, again and again, without supervision of every word. AOP 102 closes that gap in two intensive days: you learn how frontier models actually differ, how to match the model to the task, and how to structure an agent as a persistent, tested working asset rather than a disposable chat.

By the final afternoon you sit a live practical exam: building and stress testing an agent under time conditions, against real inputs, marked against published criteria. Participants without their own business work on Brightleaf Bookkeeping, the reference business supplied in the starter pack.

Who It Is For

The intended participant

Business owners, solo operators, and professionals who use AI casually and want repeatable, dependable AI agents doing defined jobs in their work.

  • Entry requirements: none. Basic computer literacy and a personal laptop.
  • No business yet? You build on Brightleaf Bookkeeping, the fully prepared reference business in the course starter pack.
  • Software: free tier platform accounts as required by the course, set up before Day 1 via joining instructions.
Learning Outcomes

What you will learn

On completion, participants can:

  • Compare frontier AI models against defined business tasks and record a selection rationale
  • Distinguish a persistent AI agent from a disposable chat and structure agents as saved projects
  • Build two focused, single purpose AI agents grounded in real business context
  • Test agent output quality and iterate context until output is dependable
  • Produce a model comparison card that guides every future build decision

Assessment

How you are assessed

Practical Exam

Live agent build and test, 2 hours. An agent built, stress tested and hardened under exam conditions against published marking criteria.

Completion requires attendance of at least 75 percent, every deliverable gate met, and a pass in each declared assessment mode at a 70 percent threshold. A Certificate of Completion is issued by Future Edge Institute.
Certificate FEI Sample Certificate of Completion

What you earn

On completion you receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Future Edge Institute. It is awarded on evidence, not attendance: every deliverable gate met, and a pass in each declared assessment at the 70 percent threshold, with a minimum of 75 percent attendance.

That means the certificate records something you built and demonstrated, in front of an assessor, rather than a seat you occupied.

The full pathway

Organisations see the strongest results running the Adoption Series in sequence: AI for Leaders creates the mandate and the roadmap, AI at Work equips the teams who deliver it. Individuals who want to go further progress into The AI Operator Professional Series, where they build AI agents, knowledge bases and business automations of their own. The Adoption Series teaches organisations to use AI. The Operator Series teaches individuals to run it.
